Thank You for Scheduling a Consultation – Important Follow-Up Information Below

During your first meeting, Mr. Anderson will examine your estate planning goals and provide concrete strategies to achieve those objectives. To ensure the consultation is meaningful, please do the following:

  1. Fill Out Estate Planning Information Online: Your Estate Planning Information can be completed in our secure document system, Decision Vault, at least 24 hours prior to your initial consultation. Please create an account at to begin entering your information.
  1. Gather Critical Documents as Part of the Client Checklist: Gather the documents on this Checklist (as applicable) and bring them to your consultation. Here are some documents to consider bringing: 
    1. Estate Planning Documents
      1. Wills
      2. Trusts
      3. Financial and Legal Power of Attorney (Durable Power of Attorney)
      4. Medical Power of Attorney
      5. HIPAA 
      6. Directives to Physicians 
      7. Declaration of Guardian
      8. Copies of recorded deeds for all real estate that you own
    2. Financial Accounts: Copies of statements relating to all of your financial accounts that you own. These statements should include your account number, the type of account and the name of the financial institution.
      1. Bank accounts
      2. Retirement accounts
      3. Investment accounts 
      4. Annuities
      5. Insurance policies
      6. Other Financial Accounts  
      7. Oil, Gas, and Mineral Rights: Make copies of statements or deeds regarding any gas, oil and/or mineral rights that you own.
    3. Do You Already Have a Trust?
      1. Any documentation that shows assets transferred into the trust
      2. Trust documentation

The information we are requesting provides a comprehensive picture of your personal and financial situation. Without this critical information, Mr. Anderson’s ability to advise you is severely compromised. If he receives this information prior to your arrival at our office, he will be able to focus more of your consultation time on your substantive questions and concerns.

We believe your decision to investigate your estate planning options shows that you are serious about protecting yourself and your loved ones. Scott Anderson can meet with only a limited number of clients, so we work to ensure that each person who consults with him is a good fit for his practice. 

Therefore, we begin the investment with a one-time initial consultation fee of $450, which you paid as part of our scheduling process. If you need to reschedule, we ask that you would let us know as soon as possible. 

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your appointment with more than two business days’ notice, we will retain a $50 cancellation fee, but we will refund the balance to you. If you cancel within two business days, the $450 is non-refundable.
